    What Is a Urea
    Cycle Disorder?

    A UCD is a rare genetic disorder that prevents
    the liver from working correctly. An enzyme
    in the liver that is missing or isn't working can
    cause high levels of ammonia to build up in
    the body and reach toxic levels.
